Waco Web Designer - Carla Pendergraft

I obtained an MBA degree from Texas State University in 1987 and graduated with a BA in 1981 from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

I use Photoshop and a text editor for most of my work.

During the day, I am an employee of the City of Waco with the position of Director of Sales & Internet Development. I have worked for the City of Waco since 1990.

Awards and Honors

I've written an article entitled, "Five Important Technologies for Festivals and Events," which was published in ie, International Festival and Events Association's international magazine. I've also written articles for Texas Municipal League's "Texas Town and City."

I speak relatively often around the state of Texas, for various audiences such as economic development professionals, festival and event managers, chambers of commerce, and so on.

Carla Pendergraft Associates was named "Best Web Development Consulting Firm" by the Waco Ad Club for four years, from 2004-2007.

I have been chairman of the Texas State Technical College Web Design and Development Advisory Committee since 2006.

About this photograph: This was taken by my friend, Tom Sergent, a Waco-based photographer. We thought it would be quite a lark to haul a Victorian sofa onto the historic Waco Suspension Bridge and pose as if I'm working on my laptop in my living room. Also, the wine is alcohol-free and merely a prop!
